I have 34 years of experience in animal care and husbandry.
I worked as a stable hand and summer camp counselor on a horse farm in my youth and young adulthood where I also kept and trained two American Saddlebred horses of my own.
I worked as a veterinary technician for more than 9 years where I learned everything from how to safely administer all types of injections to how to assist in dental and surgical procedures.
I was the lead curator at a reptile breeding facility for 3 years. For more than 20 years I’ve been a “herp hobbyist” and in that time I have worked with and owned more than a hundred species of reptiles and amphibians.
I also bred AKC registered Miniature Schnauzers for 6 years and managed a sizable flock of free-range chickens for over 5 years; I’ve been pet-sitting exclusively since early 2017.
Suffice it to say, I am comfortable working with ALL species from cats, dogs, and horses, to small mammals, exotics, birds - even spiders and snakes!
